After hitting a milestone of $3,000 raised and 350+ books sold — The Everyday Gita took its first step in the journey to give to those less fortunate.
On December 18th, 2019 at the Kasturba Girls Hostel in Vadodora, India — we gave home-cooked meals to 40 young orphans. Each child was provided with a traditional Indian meal consisting of the following food items:
Vegetable sabji
Potato pakoda
Roti (bread)
Dal (lentil soup)
Rice
Papdi
Jalebi and gulab jamun (desserts)
The girls were very appreciative — full of warmth from nourishment and gratitude. I would like to extend their thanks to you for directly playing a part in diminishing their hunger with your purchase and/or donations towards The Everyday Gita.
This is just the first of many events that The Everyday Gita will continue to sponsor in 2020. Stay tuned in to the journey by following this blog channel — where I will be posting about every act of giving, as it takes place. If you have any further questions about the mission and where we are headed, please feel free to contact me directly at niralishah130@gmail.com.
Your support and belief in this cause does not go unrecognized - none of this goodness would be happening without each and every one of you.
Jai Shree Krishna.
